One batch (20 – 24) Brown Sugar Shortbread with Orange and Rosemary for $12

These not-too-sweet cookies are almost an appetizer or after dinner with a vivid chardonnay such as Yellow Tale Pure Bright.  Of course the kids will want in on these as well, but I think of them as a grown=up’s cookies — and isn’t that a good feeling?

(The round cookie cutter in the photo was one we had when I was a little girl.  It’s in good shape for being over 65 years old!)
